Important Read Me

This version of AZARDI will install in your program files and create a book storage directory at:

Windows:

C:\Azardi\library\

Linux:

/home/username/azardi/library/

This library installation path should not be changed in this version. You can copy your ePubs to this directory and they are immediately available in the book list.

After installation, please read the Help file for complete information on using AZARDI.

If this location is unworkable for you, do not install this version of AZARDI.

Note for AZARDI Release 2-2

Release updated 2009-04-23

This is a minor feature change release. When using edit mode, this release saves the content files in the zip package as deflate rather than store by default (except the mimetype file which is always stored). This has the dual benefit of reducing final file size and overcoming a minor bug in the Sony devices that expects zips to be deflate compressed and therefore miscalculate resource filesize.

Limitations in AZARDI Release 2

Default Font. There is no inbuilt default font. The application is set to Times New Roman from the Windows operating system. You can change the font at any time from settings.

SVG. SVG in the <object> element and SVG on the page are supported (with correctly created SVG). SVG in the <img> element is not supported in this version.

XML Islands. Semi-functional. Not reliable.

Embedded Rich Media. (Audio, video, flash, etc). Not supported in this Version.

Library Functions. There are no library functions in this version. That is a deliberate part of the development roadmap.

Daisy Support. Not supported in this version.
