IGP:Distribution Manager Released - Apple iBookstore Ready

Infogrid Pacific have released IGP:Distribution Manager as an optional add-on module for the IGP:PublisherECMS application. This allows publishers to set up accounts and automate distribution of electronic files to printers, aggregators and retailers. As the number of distribution channels increases, and formats and devices explode, it becomes more and more important to automate file distribution.

The default installation has a wide number of aggregator accounts ready including: Amazon, Overdrive, Kobo, Lightning Source. IGP:Distribution Manager is a licensed application that can be operated by a licensee for publishers. It has small and medium publisher friendly features such as creation of Distribution Packages directly from a spreadsheet, or Onix file placed into a drop folder. External producer organizations can directly upload POD PDFs, ePubs and Mobipocket files to the distribution archive. 

Infogrid Pacific have been working with Apple Inc. to integrate the iPhone transporter application directly into IGP:Distribution Manager. IGP:Distribution Manager can be used to directly send ePubs to the Apple bookstore.

Faber and Faber choose IGP:PublisherECMS for digital distribution

Faber and Faber have selected IGP:PublisherECMS with IGP:Distribution Manager for the long-term archive management and distribution of their increasing collection of digital assets. With increasingly complex collections of multiple print and e-book formats, and distribution to multiple aggregators, search partners and customers, automation of these features is essential. Equally content must be ready for an unpredictably future.

As one of the largest poetry publishers in the world, it was important for Faber that the XML strategy was right, and the system that managed the content would enable new business models on legacy content, including variable and channelized content. IGP:Proof21 beta release

Infogrid Pacific have released IGP:Proof21 to compliment IGP:FLIP for ultra-quality, complex back-list production services. It is released on  a limited basis to partner digitization production organizations.  The proofing algorithm has been considerably enhances with multiple pass content evaluation, and highlighting of proofing suspects based on a large list of evaluation rules. IGP:Proof21 moves the trustworthiness and quality marks forward by an order of magnitude, while significantly increased productivity is a natural outcome. In addition it has a statistical analysis engine to allow the measurement of quality and real-time monitoring of quality achievements and improvements. 

IGP:Proof21 Release One has been initially installed in three digitization production centres.

IGP:Document Designer (DD) beta release

Infogrid Pacific have released IGP:Document Designer for the production of highly designed books and documents using IGP:FLIP (Front List Interactive Publishing). This WYSIWIG application connects directly to the IGP:FoundationXHTML for any document and allows all aspects of the document to be changed interactively while instantly showing the design decisions. IGP:Document Designer radically slashes the total cost of XML production systems, while freeing publishers from the constraints of rigid XML processors.

IGP:FLIP - Upgrades to Media Manager, Font Manager and Template Manager

Infogrid Pacific have released significant upgrades to IGP:FLIP. The new Media Manager enables upload of a single file and automated generation of images for e-book covers, online images and much more. The Font Manager allows the application of fonts directly to presentation template styles and allows the management of hundreds of fonts (OTF). The complexity of maintaining templates is now included directly in the application which makes it easy for template maintainers to instantly modify or repair document templates at any level.
