IGP:ACOM is a revolution in publishing for publishers, business and government. It enables instant reuse of content for:
- Assembly of new print documents from existing content.
- Creation of derivatives and version for localization, or edition control
- Assembly of web assets including: file downloads, rich media and interactive components

Prepared content objects are instantly assembled into new content assets. The assembled document can be edited, new pages of content can be inserted. A new document can be created sometimes in only minutes.
The resulting document can be printed (to the highest publisher standards), published online, packaged as an eBook, CD-ROM or SCORM object.
How does it work?
IGP:ACOM is an extension module for IGP:PublisherDAMS (or the full IGP:ECMS Solutions) with IGP:Reader/Writer and IGP:Search.
- Create a Content Object in IGP:Reader/Writer / IGP:FLIP
- Apply the descriptive and controlling metadata (by default there is descriptive, pedagogy, rights and functional metadata).
- Submit it to IGP:ACOM.
- Creates a Preview object
- Registers the object with IGP:TUCO - to track the object and how it is used.
- Indexes the metadata and full text in the IGP:ACOM search engine
- The Content Object is now ready for reuse
Advantages
IGP:ACOM lets you define semantic content blocks at the time the Content Object is created. This is radically different from other approaches using XML databases and content broken into unusably small XML blocks. We use Internet standard XHTML and CSS so there are no proprietary formats, everything is standards based and open, and your content remains accessible and instantly usable.
The focus for IGP:ACOM is to drive business with content. It's about reusing content to create finished products with the minimum effort. The only ongoing maintenance cost is creating new and exciting rendering templates.
