ePub3 Says-Stop Smoking

EPub3 is international. Here we have a very useful demonstation ePub3 created by a science department team at Malaysia University. In Malay.

"Adam Dan Asap" can be translated as "Adam and the Smoke" is a very effective use of ePub3 fixed layout to deliver a strong social message on the dangers of passive smoke in a compelling and informative way.

I particularly like the use of sliding picture widgets to give a user controlled pseudo animation effect and short time-line effects. This technique can go a long way.

The content is in Malay, but if you don't understand Malay it has been so well assembled as a graphical story it can easily be understood from the images and interactions.

The Story

This EPUB is a story about the negative implications second hand smoke has on the human body.

It's mainly targeted at children from age 9 to 10 and it's aimed to create awareness of the hazards of second hand smoke.

This digital book made use of the slider functions provided by AZARDI Widgets to tell the story of Adam, the main victim of the story.

It features a short story and some facts related to second hand smoke.
